A New Beginning!!!

Hi everyone!!!

I am living in rural SW France, The Lot valley to be precise. I moved here from England with my partner last April (2008) and am loving the really hot summers and very cold winter.

We have a lovely house set in an acre of land so have plenty of space for a Potager. Our house had been empty for several years and so the Potager was extremely overgrown. I have now cleared it and rotavated it thoroughly.

I am currently researching books and am finding out the basics such as crop rotation etc..

As you will now realise I am a complete novice to vegetable growing but am really excited at the prospect of growing and eating our produce this coming year.

Wish me luck... I aim to keep you updated on my progress!!!

Wow Jeannette!

What a fantastic adventure. I'm quite jealous about all the possibilities that are before you and especially the Potager.

Are you going to create a classical Potager with colour and form or a more relaxed 'cottage garden' style?

Really looking forward to updates on your progress but not too many references to hot sunny weather if we're shivering here in the UK please ;0).
